A rectal suppository containing rhubarb, astragalus, salvia, and safflower. Administered alongside standard CKD treatment. A 2025 randomized controlled trial showed it slowed kidney function decline and modulated gut microbiota composition in CKD patients.

◆ 临床证据 / Clinical Evidence
A single-center RCT (n=80, Frontiers in Pharmacology 2025, ChiCTR2200058493) found that 8 weeks of SKS plus standard care significantly slowed kidney function decline compared to standard care alone. eGFR improved in the SKS group (33.6→36.9 mL/min) while worsening in controls (32.0→28.1, p=0.011). Serum creatinine also improved (p=0.014). The proposed mechanism involves gut microbiome modulation — increased beneficial bacteria (Coriobacteriaceae, Ruminococcaceae) and decreased harmful bacteria (Veillonellaceae).
