A prospective real-world study (Chinese journal, 2022) found 'definite effect on common cold' with 'clinical advantages in improving symptoms.' The efficacy is largely attributable to the well-studied Western ingredients: paracetamol (extensive Cochrane evidence for pain and fever), chlorphenamine (proven antihistamine for nasal symptoms), and caffeine (adjuvant for headache). The herbal component's independent contribution is unclear.
